It all begins with an idea. Build a lighter, tougher fly reel that lowers effort and sharpens handling.
There is no substitute for the effect of mass when it comes to handling and longevity out on the river. Conflux uses a first in class co-molded carbon frame to create a lightweight and highly durable fly reel. The core of the frame is made from laser sintered Nylon 12 that is compression molded between structurally optimized layers of carbon. Tucked tightly into this core is a precision machined and hard anodized 6061 kingpost.
FULL CARBON SPOOL
Conflux produces solid carbon spools using the same closed die compression molding process as the frame. We create the spools by hand, placing die-cut carbon layers into high precision molds. These layers are engineered for strength and durability.
Conflux spools are strong and light. They are designed to minimize startup inertia while providing remarkable impact resistance.

PRECISION SEALED BEARINGS
The Conflux Slash /78 utilizes large diameter stainless & ceramic sealed bearings to deliver smooth and reliable movement for the lifetime of the reel.
Bearing bores are machined in-house to ensure the accuracy and longevity of our reels.
